Marc was born in the deep south originating from Pascagoula, MS. Being raised in a southern family and being a second-generation American taught him to respect all the freedoms provided by our Nation. Marc was mainly raised by a family friend named Maxine Peters, who taught him compassion and the strength of family. Moreover, that family extends far beyond any blood or legal ties. In 2004, shortly after turning eighteen, Marc joined the Marine Corp. Being a Marine was a lifelong passion that was further cemented by the attacks on our Nation taking place on September 11th, 2001. Attending boot camp in Parris Island and then deploying to Iraq in 2005, Marc gained a comprehensive perspective on the importance of trust and the need to make our short time on this planet count. Like many other service members, Marc greatly missed home while deployed to Iraq and in future deployments to Afghanistan, Thailand, and Korea as a Marine Special Operations Element leader. His relentless pursuit of knowledge and efficiencies enabled him to receive his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi and a graduate degree from the Joint Special Operations Master of Arts program. He wrote an honors thesis while in graduate school focusing on the intellectual history of influential Chinese leaders with a heavy emphasis on Chinese grand strategies interpretation of Clausewitz’s writings. Shortly after picking up Master Sergeant at 16 years, his military career was cut short due to a diagnosis that prevented him from further service in the Marine Special Operations Community. Not being one for self-pity, Marc decided to take a leap of faith and go into the mortgage industry. Still having the strong desire to continue to serve his community and his fellow veterans and servicemember, he turned his attention to providing the best possible realty service to his people. Thus, the Raider Realty Group was formed. When not working, Marc enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, volunteering as a coach for his children’s soccer and swim league, and attending Muay Thai classes. Marc is also an active member of several veteran organizations.
